How do I make text bigger on a Mac?

  1. Open System Settings, Accessibility, Display.
  2. Click Text size.
  3. Drag the slider for all apps, or pick an app from the list and set a size for it alone.

Apps that support it, including Finder, Mail, Messages, Notes and the sidebars, use the new size at once.

What if an app ignores Text size?

Use the app's own zoom: ⌘ + and ⌘ - in browsers, Mail, Pages and many others, and ⌘ 0 to reset. Most remember the size for next time.
