Window management on macOS Ventura 13
Ventura introduced Stage Manager and the new System Settings. How to arrange windows on it, where the settings moved, and what window apps support it.
macOS Ventura 13 introduced Stage Manager and moved window settings into the new System Settings, Desktop & Dock. Arrange windows with the green button for Split View, or with an app.
What's in Ventura
- Stage Manager: turn it on in Control Center. One app in the middle, recent ones at the left.
- Split View from the green button.
- Mission Control and Spaces, with their settings in Desktop & Dock.
- Auto hide the menu bar in Desktop & Dock (later versions moved it to Control Center).
Window apps on Ventura
ClutterFreeMac supports macOS 13 Ventura and later. On Ventura, moving between screens glides the real windows; the picture slide that follows your fingers needs macOS 14 or later. Everything else, from the strip to shortcuts, layouts and swipes, works the same.
Questions
Does macOS Ventura have window snapping?
Not by dragging to edges. Use Split View from the green button, Stage Manager, or a window manager app.
