A Mac window setup for product managers
Roadmap, tickets, specs, analytics, calendar and chat. A layout for a PM's day of constant switching, and saved layouts for planning and meetings.
A PM's day is constant switching, so the layout's job is making each switch one move. Keep the same tools in the same places every day.
Two saved layouts
| Layout | Columns |
|---|---|
| Planning | Spec doc, ticket board, analytics, design file |
| Meetings | Call, notes, agenda or deck, chat |
Tips
- Keep chat and calendar in one stacked column at the end, glanced at, not always on top.
- Separate browser windows for the board and analytics, so both can be in view.
- See Notion side by side and context switching.
In ClutterFreeMac, save both layouts in Settings, Arrange, and switch between them from the menu bar, or with a clutterfreemac:// link from Raycast or a calendar event.
